The model 02-60 Aerial Water Cannon is a new piece of fire-fighting equipment from Gater Grapples designed to assist fire fighters in battling fires. Its primary benefit is in keeping personnel out of harm’s way and avoiding the perils of structural collapse, toxic environments and other hazards associated with conventional firefighting methods. The model 02-60 is one more weapon in the fire fighters’ arsenal – supplementing existing equipment and methods, not replacing them.
The 02-60 is an 8,000 pound trailer-mounted unit which can be easily towed by a pick-up truck. Once on site with water connected and hydraulic outriggers in place, the operator stands anywhere that offers maximum visibility with minimum risk, and using hand-held radio remote controls directs the 60 foot boom, stick and articulating nozzle at any target within a 360 degree radius of the trailer. The 1-1/2 inch nozzle adjusts from off to full stream with every pattern in between. It has 180 degrees of horizontal and vertical articulation for pinpoint accuracy. Capacity at full flow is 100 gallons per minute.
